Greetings, my magnificent teacher

Helen Doron Teen

Greetings, my magnificent teacher

As you can already see, I’m sending this to you on Wednesday, the last possible day to do so (I think? I’m guessing). I’m not going to sit here and lie to you about how “Oh, I forgot!” or “I didn’t remember to do this earlier.” Truthfully, this hasn’t left my mind since last week, but I’ve kind of been procrastinating and decided to wait ’till the day it’s due, in true kampanjac fashion.

I’ve been thinking about it for a while (10 minutes) and I’ve come to the realization I don’t really have a favorite day of the week.

It’s not Monday, because, well, it’s Monday (we all know nobody likes Monday).

It’s not Tuesday, because I have 7 classes (instead of the usual 6, or 5 if I’m lucky) that day. It’s also too boring and too far away from the end of the week for me to actually like it.

It’s not Wednesday, solely because I don’t like the way we have to spell its name, and I once tripped over my own feet and fell face first on the ground – specifically on a Wednesday. Other than that, it’s not that bad of a day. You could say I have a love-hate relationship with this one.

It’s not Thursday. So close to the weekend yet so far away. That’s all I’m going to say. I have unspoken beef with Thursday. But our lovely English course does make it less insufferable ;)

It’s not Friday, because I have math and all math-related subjects on that day. No languages, no art class or P.E., just pure pain and suffering. And when I get back home I’m too tired to do anything that brings me joy.

It’s not Saturday. Never. It could have been! Saturday is a pretty good day overall. But, guess what? I have to wake up at 7AM every Saturday to go to my German course. Yes, that’s right. On a day that is supposed to be relaxing and stress-relieving after a long week, I have to get up at (in my humble opinion) an ungodly hour to LEARN in my free time. Unbelievable, I simply can’t.

And I’m afraid it’s not Sunday, either. Sunday is a pretty calm, slow day but every Sunday after about 6PM I start dreading over the fact it’s Monday tomorrow, and that I have to live for school another week. Most of my Sundays are spent overthinking, contemplating my life choices and distracting myself from all of the above.

In conclusion, even though all of these days aren’t that horrible, I’m a hater and you can’t take that away from me.

Have I been too harsh? Not at all.

Have I over exaggerated some things? Possibly.

Are some of my reasons stupid? Probably.

Do I care? No.

My point stays. I don’t have a favorite day, color, food or anything for that matter. Feel free to call me indecisive all you want. I hope you like this and don’t make me write another one lying to you about what my favorite day is. I know I could’ve done that from the start, but this – overcomplicating stuff that shouldn’t be that hard – seemed more like me.

I really do hope you enjoyed reading this sorry excuse for an essay and I hope you don’t make us write something like this over something so stupid ever again.

Love and guidance,

Ajna
